2nd story of the day...second time's not quite the charm...
As I had written earlier, I was quite hoping that President Obama would buck the pundits and select Howard Dean to be Secretary Of Health and Human Services in lieu of Tom Daschle, who was forced to withdraw after revelations of tax shenanigans and lobby gifts. Unfortunately, it looks like again he proves to be Rahm Emmanuel's bitch by forgoing Dean to choose Kansas Governer Kathleen Sibelius for the post. Now while Sibelius may be a reasonable choice, she surely doesn't bring the fire and expertise that Dean would have been, as well as fuck over the Democratic party who would've been invigorated by a Sibelius Senate run for Brownback's old seat. The biggest thing that is written about her is the same old "work across party lines" bullshit. I really hope someone there gets a clue that no one in the Republican party wants to so anything but obstruct and connive, as is shown by that dirtbag fucktard Judd Gregg, who I sincerely hope goes down in flames over his lobbying scandal. They'll do nothing but undermine everything, and since the sane majority of the country sent you a clear congressional mandate (if you'd only grow some balls and seat Al Franken already), can you kind of give us a little more consideration that your Beltway friends? Please?
At least Dean is gracious, I'd be mad as hell, but of course he's more concerned about getting the health care reform through, something Emmanuel is clueless about.
