Brit Sweep: March 25, 2017...

I'm ready to cross the Atlantic yet again to check out the notable songs and albums reaching the official charts in the UK this week...

On their singles chart, Ed Sheeran is unstoppable as he holds at #1, #2, and #3 with "Shape Of You", "Galway Girl", and "Castle On The Hill". It's the former's 11th week at the top...

Drake's new "playlist" album, More Life, did major bank, with twenty-one tracks debuting on the top 100, and two entering the top-10, "Passionfruit" (#4) and "KMT" (#9), but unlike Sheeran, none of them are on YouTube (which explains also why his are doing much better). The radio single "Fake Love" rebounds to #43 after peaking at #10...

Neo-house act Clean Bandit follow up their #1 hit "Rockabye" with the song at #6, "Symphony". It featured Swedish singer Zara Larsson and a powerful music video...

Indie rockers Kasabian, from Leicester, return at #84 with "You're In Love With A Psycho". It's the lead single from their upcoming sixth studio album For Crying Out Loud. Back in 2009 they reached #3 with "Fire"...

American "blue-eyed" rapper G-Eazy and singer Kehlani come together at #96 with "Good Life". It's from the Fate of The Furious movie franchise...

Meanwhile, on the British albums chart, Sheeran remains on top for a third week with Divide...

Drake's aforementioned More Life settles for the #2 spot...

British singing legend Vera Lynn celebrated her 100th birthday on March 20th, and a compilation to commemorate it, Vera 100, lands all the way up at #3. It features guests like Broadway star Cynthia Errivo, Alfie Boe, and more, with new orchestral backing to her original vocals...

Depeche Mode are back at #5 with their fourteenth album Spirit. All of them have reached the top ten, with two compilations and a live album doing so as well. They went to #1 twice, with back-to-back sets Songs Of Faith and Devotion in 1993 and Ultra in 1997...

Zara Larsson, who sang on the "Symphony" single above, has that track as well on her album So Good, which arrives at #7...

American rapper Rick Ross stomps in at #29 with Rather You Than Me. Five years ago, he took God Forgives, I Don't to #8...
