We're at the "hump" of today's "music sweeps", sampling the songs making their way on to the charts in Billboard magazine, and this time I'm serving up the latest hits on R&B radio...

On the main R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, Drake spends a fourth week on top with "Hotline Bling"...

Janet Jackson moves up from #46 to #41 with the title track to her album Unbreakable...

Prince arrives at #44 with "1000 X's and O's". (There's no audio or video for this as yet...)

Rapper Kendrick Lamar lands at #45 with "These Walls" featuring Bilal, Anna Wise, and Thundercat...


Neo-soul singer Kem came in at #50 last week with "Promise To Love", which climbs to #47 now..


BJ The Chicago Kid makes his debut at #48 with "Church" featuring Chance the Rapper and Buddy...


"Get Home" from JR Castro with Migos holds at #49 in its second week on the chart...


Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, Tyrese returns to #1 for a third non-consecutive week with "Shame"...

90's hitmakers After 7 are back moving from #29 to #20 with their latest, "I Want You"...(no clip exists for this as yet)..

Actress V. Bozeman from the hit show Empire and producer Timabalnd team up together for "Smile", which moves from #29 to #26, and is my "Soul Pick of The Week"...


Tweet also climbs three notches from #30 to #27 with her latest, "Won't Hurt Me"...


Canadian singer/songwriter Alessia Cara crosses over to this format at #29 with her pop hit "Here"...


British "blue-eyed soul" singer Joss Stone moves in at #30 with "This Ain't Love"...


Finally, on the Rhythmic format, whose stations include more dance/pop music in their playlists, "Hotline Bling" holds on top for a fourth week...

As Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?" climbs to a new high a #4 on this week's chart, his latest, "Sorry", arrives at #28...


Bieber's ex Selena Gomez moves in at #32 with "Same Old Love". It's the follow-up to "Good For You", which also went to #4 and falls to #15 this week...


Brooklyn newcomer Dawin had the sole entry on this chart last week, and moves up four notches to #33 with "Dessert"...


"Comic rap artist" Lil Dicky, from the Philly suburbs, sees his novelty single "$ave Dat Money" featuring rapper Fetty Wap and Rich Homie Quan make the chart at #35. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how I feel about this, but it does have Sarah Silverman....



British songstress Ellie Goulding enters at #39 with "On My Mind"...


...and at #40 is pop singer Meghan Trainor with John Legend on "Like I'm Gonna Lose You"...
