Twostepcub's music chart for Friday, April 10, 2009...

Hey guys, sorry for being a bit late on the list (if it matters, modest me), but my internet connection at work conked out in the middle of the post unsaved. Dammit. Well here it is. This week Kelly Clarkson spends a second week at the summit, while Lily Allen (pictured above) jumps into the top-5. Songs by Kristine W., AmberRose Marie, and Kings Of Leon make the biggest moves, while former big hits by Musiq Soulchild, 3 Doors Down, and the Killers drop off the chart. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on the name of any highlighted artist to go to their website (rightclick to use another window or tab). Happy post-hippity-hop!

This week nine new songs debut on the chart (and another two re-enter). The highest is by Enrique Iglesias, who just last week peaked in the top-20 with "Away". I've already featured his new single before on Distant Shores Songs, and it's a smash all over Europe, with versions with American singer Ciara or German Sarah Connor. Here's "Takin' Back My Love"...

Next is Jennifer Hudson, who follows her #1 twostepcubchart hit "Spotlight" with the beautiful ballad "If This Isn't Love"...

Irish band the Script debut with their #2 UK hit "The Man Who Can't Be Moved", which has the potential to be this year's "Chasing Cars", and it's my pick of the week...

(the original video is cool, but unembeddable, you can check it out here...)

Los Angeles-based group Carolina Liar put their second single on my list, here's "Show Me What I'm Looking For" (a sugarbear favorite)

Next up is Solange (yes, Beyonce's little sis) with her third straight hit - following the 2SC top-40 hits "I Decided" and "Sandcastle Disco". It's cowritten be Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo. Here's "T.O.N.Y." (which stands for "The Other Night, Why"

and here's the dance remix which is tearing up at the clubs...

Well, I guess now you can't keep Musiq Soulchild away for the chart. After dropping out with his "IfULeave", he comes back as a guest on India.Arie's retro-smooth "Chocolate High"...

And talk about having a presence on the charts. Beyonce now again has three on my list, "Single Ladies" in the top-10, "Diva" making the top-40, and now her latest, "Halo"..

And now recently incarcerated (but remorseful) T.I. follows up his collaboration with Rihanna ("Live Your Life") with another pairing, this time with Justin Timberlake, and "Dead And Gone"....

and lastly, Keith Urban's "Sweet Thing" is still in the top-40, and his new single, "Kiss A Girl", sneaks on at #100..

Good night, and sweet dreams...
