And of course, what is more apropos than the current Republican candidate for president, John McCain. In Jon Stewart's words, he courageously "went near where black people live" and made a speech/pack of lies (for him, it's usually the same) in New Orleans about Katrina. Whoever did this video is a friggin' genius for summing it up... Yes, John, you're fucking full of honor. Having cake while almost 2,000 people died. Damn. Well it is official, so far Kylie Minogue's new album, X , spent one measly week in the US top 200 albums at #139 . Blame the totally misguided promotional plan for rolling it out, not only months after the UK release (and fans like me have already bought the import) but trying to hype the single "All I See" after the album release. Kudos for Kylie for trying by appearing on the ratings-heavy Dancing With The Stars (albeit with a somewhat flat rendering of "All I See" and a better version of "Can't Get You Out Of My Head") and Ellen , but honey, you need some Oprah love. And fast. And the video just gets released. I admit I like it. It also probably has no chance to be played unless they drop a shitload of money on VH1.
