twostepcub's music chart for February 17, 2024...

Saturday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Teddy Swims hangs tight at #1 for a third week, while Cannons (pictured above) climb into the top five. Former big hits from Kelly Clarkson, Tiesto, Fall Out Boy, boygenius, and David Kushner drop off my chart, while songs from the Black Keys, Ariana Grande, and Kane Brown make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). And under the list everything is Spotify playlisted for 5 1/2 hours of the biggest in pop, rock, R&B, country, and dance music. What a week...

Folk-rock group Mumford & Sons, now a threesome, are back at #76 with "Good People" featuring Pharrell Williams...

While the Foo Fighters' former top ten hit "Under You" lingers on the list at #60, the third single from their stellar But Here We Are album, "The Glass", breaks in at #77...

Hard rock band Bad Wolves howl in at #95 with "Legends Never Die" from their fourth album Die About It...

Now that Thirty Seconds to Mars is whittled down to actor/singer/general freak Jared Leto and his brother Shannon, the pair climb in at #98 with "Seasons"...

Lastly, slipping in at #99 is country singer Thomas Rhett who brings in ringer Morgan Wallan at #99 for "Mamaw's House"...

And for a bonus, Noah Kahan returns with his single "Homesick", which made my top-40 last year, but now is out in a rework with British singer/songwriter Sam Fender...
