Songoftheday 1/8/17 - For so long I kept these feelings for you locked up inside, and there were nights that I would cry myself to sleep and wonder why...

"We Can't Go Wrong" - Cover Girls
from the album We Can't Go Wrong (1989)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #8 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 11

Today's song of the day comes from the Latin freestyle dance music trio the Cover Girls, whose sophomore album had already spun off a top-40 pop hit with "My Heart Skips A Beat". The follow-up single was the title track, the ballad "We Can't Go Wrong". Written by David Cole, Tony Moran, and Andy Tripoli, the plea to renew their marriage commitment was their highest-charting single on the American pop chart.

"We Can't Go Wrong" became the Cover Girls' first and biggest pop hit in March of 1990.

Up tomorrow:  Fab fakers find their final fame.
