twostepcub's music chart for October 29, 2010...
Hey folks, it's been a rough week, but it's time for my top tunes for the week. This week Maroon 5 spend a fourth week in the number-one spot, while my fave Kylie Minogue (pictured above) makes it into the top-5. The biggest moves are made by singles by Taio Cruz, Carrie Underwood, and Rihanna, while former big hits by Disturbed, Rob Thomas, Linkin Park, Phoenix, and John Mayer drop out. Link-O-Rama is in effect, so you can click on the highlighted name of any of the artists to go to their website to get more info, hear music, and see tour dates. Also, debuting artists have orange links to their classic videos. Here's to a speedy recovery, Mrs. T!

This week there's a big turnaround, as a dozen new songs come onto my chart (new entries in yellow). The highest is by Canadian vocal artist Michael Buble, who broke bigtime with his top-40 pop/top-5 UK hit "Haven't Met You Yet". The #1 album that song came from Crazy Love, was re-released this week with eight more tracks, including this new song that serves as his new single, and it's much more rock-n-roll oriented. Here's "Hollywood"...
Linkin Park has made the top of the Alternative Rock chart nine times, including the single that just dropped out, "The Catalyst". The boys from Cali make up with their new track, "Waiting For The End"...
New York-based Sylvia Tosun has had multiple hits on the Dance Chart, including a number-1 collaboration with Italian DJs Noferini & Marini with "Push N' Pull". Her latest is all her own, and it's "Above All"...
Keith Urban has had ten number-one songs in the last ten years, which isn't bad at all. In fact, after his first single, "It's a Love Thing", every regular single he's put out has made the top-10, including two songs staying there for six weeks, "Somebody Like You" and "Better Life". His latest is from his forthcoming CD Get Closer which drops November 16, and it's headed top-10 as well. Here's "Put You In A Song"..
Metal powerhouse Godsmack has racked up six top rock hits from their five full-length albums. Two of those spent six weeks at #1, "Speak" and their last single "Cryin' Like A Bitch". The third single from The Oracle is current in the runner up spot, and it's about "Love-Hate-Sex-Pain"...
Country singer and Celebrity Apprentice alumnus Trace Adkins has a new retrospective out that includes almost all of his hits and all three of his #1 singles - "(This Ain't) No Thinking Thing", "Ladies Love Country Boys", and "You're Gonna Miss This". One song that isn't on that set is the first hit from his new record label, Show Dog, and "This Ain't No Love Song"...
Kanye West has been visible recently more in the things he does than his work, which includes two #1 pop hits with "Gold Digger" and "Stronger", and his latest comes with a half-hour music video... here's the long version of "Runaway" with Clipse member Pusha T...
DJ Mog is from Northern Ireland, and his first hit is a track sung by Sarah Lynn. Here's "Somewhere"..
British rap star Tinie Tempah's second number 1 UK pop hit is the second hit on my chart, following the massive "Pass Out". He's backed up by Eric Turner from the Swedish rock band Street Fighting Man on "Written In The Stars"...
British siren Natasha Bedingfield had a single #1 hit in her home country with "These Words", and and top-5 success in the US with "Unwritten" and "Pocketful Of Sunshine". Her latest single
is a lot more teasing, and it's "Strip Me"...
John Ondrasik has had a #1 hit twice under the moniker Five For Fighting - "Superman (It's Not Easy)" hit the top at Adult top-40 stations while "100 Years" scaled adult contemporary. His latest is a "Slice" of American life...
and finally Taylor Swift will most likely have the biggest sales week of the year on next weeks album charts, and the title track rounds out my top-100. Here's "Speak Now"..
Now let the painkillers come! Seriously, hoping for a steady rehab, Mrs T!
