Twostepcub's music chart for April 12, 2025...

Saturday is here, and it's time to run down my top "hit" tunes from the previous week. Chappell Roan (in all her problematic self) climbs to #1, while Mumford & Sons (pictured above) climbs a pair of notches in the top ten. Former big hits from Kendrick Lamar and October London drop off my chart, while songs from Lady Gaga, My Morning Jacket, and Balu Brigada make some of the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). And under the list, everything is Spotify playlisted for 5 1/2 hours of the biggest in pop, rock, R&B, country, and dance music. Make this cold go away please!

The top debut of the week at #85 is claimed by Savannah native Jonah Kagen, with his alternative rock radio hit "God Needs The Devil"...

R&B singer Eric Benet pairs up with Chante Moore for the entry at #87, "So Distracted", the second track from his Duets EP (extended play single) to make my list...

Indie-folk band CAAMP return at #88 with "Let Things Go"...

While Chappell Roan climbs to the top (while bemoaning her "celebrity" status and staying silent on her cultist family), she arrives at #93 with "The Giver", a song she premiered on Saturday Night Live last year...

Speaking about a woman with a tumultuous recent history, Lizzo returns at #95 with "Still Bad", from her upcoming album Love In Real Life...

The final newbie of the week at #98 comes from Canadian pop singer/songwriter Alessia Cara, who is back with a track from her fourth studio album Love & Hyperbole, "Fire"....
