Twostepcub's music chart for November 30, 2024...

 

Saturday's here, and it's time to run down my top "hit" tunes from the previous week. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars remain parked at #1 for an eighth week, while Hozier (pictured above) climbs two places in the top ten. Songs from FONTAINES DC, George Birge, and Muni Long make some of the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits in Eminem and Good Neighbors drop off my chart. And under the list everything is Spotify-playlisted for 5 1/2 hours of the biggest in pop, rock, R&B, country, and dance music. Let the Christmas season go full force...

 Teddy Swims places his third song concurrently on my chart at #83 with "Bad Dreams", from his sequel album I've Tried Everything But Therapy Part 2...


Modern Rock icons the Cure make a grand comeback at #85 with "A Fragile Thing", from their fourteenth album and first since 2008, Songs Of A Lost World...


California indie-pop band almost monday drive in at #90 with "Can't Slow Down" from their first full-length album Dive...


Over a year and a half after its initial release, Australia rockers Royel Otis plant themselves on my list at #92 with "Sofa King"...


While Gracie Abrams' single "I Love You, I'm Sorry" holds at #71 on my chart, her #1 British/top ten American hit "That's So True" joins it at #95...


The final newbie of the week at #100 has French DJ/producer David Guetta digs up the grave of the past again with another blond dance-pop singer, Ava Max, to interpolate German new wave band Alphaville's 80s nugget "Forever Young", bringing in that group  as well...
