twostepcub's music chart for November 11, 2011...

Hey folks, I'm pulling an all-nighter in preparation for my three weeks of the third shift, and figured good time for my top-100 tunes for the week. This week Adele spends a sixth week at the top, while Lady GaGa (pictured above) makes the biggest leap in the top-10. The biggest jumps are made by songs by Cee-Lo Green, The Band Perry, and Taylor Dayne (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits by Mat Kearney and Rihanna drop off my list. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on any of the highlighted artist names to go to their official website (right-click and use a different tab or window). Do I have to start drinking coffee?

There are six new songs on my chart this week (highlighted in yellow), and here they are along with a little about the artists and links to past hits on YouTube in orange.

The highest debut belongs to the Austrian dance collective Global Deejays. Consisting of DJs Taylor, Mikkel, and FLOw, the group had two top-5 dance hits in the US in the mid-00's with remade versions of "The Sound Of San Francisco" (with cribbed Scott Mackenzie's "San Francisco") and "Flashdance" (What A Feeling)". They are back with a song I'm not sure if it's sampling anything, but it sounds original to me. Here's "Bring It Back"...

Denver-based rock group the Fray hope to repeat the success of their previous two albums, which produced a #1 adult-pop hit on each with "How To Save A Life" and "You Found Me". Their latest is "Heartbeat"...

British singer-songwriter Charlene Soraia is enjoying a left-field hit courtesy of an ad campaign by Twinings tea. It's a cover of the Calling's top-5 hit from 2001, "Wherever You Will Go"...

Country singer Luke Bryan follows up his top-5 hit "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)" with another song that made the all-genre top-40. Here's the country-rock of "I Don't Want This Night To End"...

Newcomer Rachel Platten has her first hit with the 90's-00's retro girl-rock of "1,000 Ships"...

The last entry is the "B-side" of Nickelback's current hit "When We Stand Together" (since they were released together, I reserve the "B-side" status). It's the more decidedly frat-rock "Bottoms Up"...

OK, 6 more hours to go, now what?
