Hey guys, I hope everyone who celebrated Christmas had a good one, and for those celebrating Hanukkah a big Shalom, and to everyone else I wish you peace and joy as well. Time for my tunes of the week. This week Nickelback sticks around at the top for a third week, while Katy Perry (pictured above) jumps into the top 3. The biggest moves come from songs by Beyonce, Ultra Nate, and The Pussycat Dolls, while former big hits by Estelle, Carrie Underwood, and Tami Chynn drop off the list. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on the name of any artist to go to their website (sorry, I fixed a couple links this week that were wrong last week). Countdown to New Year progressing...1...4...3... This Week Song/Artist (last week's position in parentheses) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback (1) 2. Better In Time - Leona Lewis (3) 3. Hot N Cold - Katy Perry (6) 4. Magic (Touch) - Robin Thicke

The job that never ends.

Well, I resolved that starting after Christmas I'd work as much overtime as I can handle to try to pay down the bills. I admit I should be really lucky that I'm in the position that I can work overtime (let alone at all), yet I'm hating dreading going into work. Didn't use to be like that. Oh well. At least part of my top 2008 reviews were typed on lunch. Whee...

Merry Christmas Everybody!....

I hope you all have a peaceful and joyous Christmas.

Link-O-Rama is in full effect, so you can click on the name of any artist to go to their website. Ho Ho Ho! This Week Song/Artist (Last Week's position in parentheses) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback (1) 2. Shattered (Turn The Car Around) - O.A.R. (2) 3. Better In Time - Leona Lewis (4) 4. Magic (Touch) - Robin Thicke f/ Mary J. Blige (6) 5. Fall For You - Secondhand Serenade (5) 6. I can't breathe!

Oh man. It's Christmastime, and I'm sick. Sick sick. Can't breathe through my nostrils and my head's pounding sick. I don't have the energy to even go into why Barack Obama is a fucktard for throwing us under the bus by having the homophobe dickwad Rick Warren give the inaugural invocation. No, no energy for that.

Hey guys, I think at least with my chart I'm back on track. This week Nickelback takes over the top spot (pictured above). And a whopping fifteen new songs debut and another one re-enters the list - talk about some house-cleaning! Former big hits by Metallica, Seether, Staind, Cyndi Lauper, Bimbo Jones, AnnaGrace, Kid Rock, 3 Doors Down, and Natasha Bedingfield drop off, and Beyonce, Brandy, and Sylvia Tosun make some of the biggest jumps (big jumps in red). Link-O-Rama is still on full effect - so you can click on any artist's name to go to their website (right click, and you can do it in a new window). Hope everyone is enjoying the season if they are...this weekend it's tree-huntin' season! This Week Song/Artist (last week's position in parentheses) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback (3) 2. Shattered (Turn The Car Around) - O.A.R. (2) 3. Spotlight - Jennifer Hudson (1) 4. Bett

Just in time for Christmas...

Well, the inbred hillbilly seen here - no not the former vice-presidential candidate, the one gleefully slaughtering turkeys during a thanksgiving interview - put up the 37 pound turkey on ebay for a whopping 225$ (to give them credit, the farm says they're donating half to the local department of Veteran's Affairs). And the circus continues...

A little corruption, no?

Jeez. You'd think that governors were like royalty - any schmuck born to the right people can be one. I mean, the best person Illinois has to run the state is this guy? I mean Sarah Palin is a ignorant airhead, but Rod Blogojevich is certifiable. After months of investigations over his abuse of power in awarding contracts to cronies and fundraisers, US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald (yes, that Patrick Fitzgerald ) and his office - through an already court-authorized wiretap - caught Rod-B plotting to use his power to appoint Barack Obama's successor as senator of Illinois to his personal gain. Trying to wiggle in either an appointment for himself, or a cushy job for his apprarently foulmouthed wife , or even to use the possibility of appointing himself as a last threat, Blogo crossed a line I don't even believe Palin could have even crossed. The idea that he still believes that he can appoint someone that Congress would really seat is stupefying. It's sad. I lived in C

Hey everyone...it's been a whopping six weeks since my last posted chart before my regroup. Wow. I mean in the time in between Nickelback went from debuting to being in the top-3! I'll try not to do that again...my OCD can't handle it. Mind you, I hadn't stopped making charts for my little ol' self, I've been doing my own top-100 over a year before I had even been doing this blog, and I haven't missed a week. (Jeez, as I'm writing this, I realize how pathetic I sound LOL). Well I'm back, and with the new on-the-go 'puter on the way, I should have no excuse for the future, music politicking or just plain old rambling like now. Thanks for reading, whomever finds me here... This week Jennifer Hudson spends a sixth week at the top, while American band O.A.R. (standing for Of A Revolution, and pictured above) is parked in the runner-up spot. Big moves are made by Michelle Williams, Hilary Duff, and Kevin Rudolf (the biggest jumps all in red), while f

The night didn't seem real at times...I was back and forth between the computer and the teevee on Election Night. It was a really freeing feeling that the "way of reason" won over the old-school racist/jingoist/know-nothing/school team mentality that has totally infected the party of the man at least a little responsible for this moment to be taking place at all. It is clear that their are two America's when it comes to politics, it just seems now that one of those Americas is confined to the old Confederacy and land of christofascist ignorance. However, it was equally disheartening that proposition 8 in California, negating the already-in-progress legality of same-sex marriage in the state. Now mind you, not only was this a result of the California Supreme Court deciding the marriage ban illegal, but also after the California Legislature had once passed authorization for gay marriage, only to have Gov. Schwarzenegger veto it, wanting it put through the courts. The o

Hey everyone. I guess I got on another "writer's block" streak, where even though there was a million things I could pontificate about happened, I was at a loss for words. Also, not to make excuses, but work has been utter hell, and by the time I get home, I am way too emotionally and mentally wiped to think beyond a blank stare. I've given in and splurged on a laptop which should arrive shortly (my early one selfish Holiday present to myself), and I'll be at least able to do something more than crash on a couch on my lunch hour. I really appreciate anyone who's come across this blog over the past couple years, as well to my biggest fan reader (no, not literally). SB, here's to noticing the little sidebars the past (almost) two years...
