twostepcub's music chart for December 9, 2016...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 tunes from the previous week. Bruno Mars parties into a third week at #1, while Maroon 5 (pictured above) run into the top 5. Former big hits from Maxwell and Stonebridge drop off my chart, while songs from Blake Shelton, Pet Shop Boys, and Thomas Rhett make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red).  The third single from country-rock artist Eric Church's Mr. Misunderstood album, "Kill A Word" featuring Rhianna Giddens from the Americana folk group Carolina Chocolate Drops, takes the top debut spot at #77. It follows "Record Year", which reached #18 on my list...

While pop-punk veterans blink-182 stand at #80 with their former top-five hit "Bored To Death", they arrive at #79 with the follow-up, "She's Out Of Her Mind". The video recreates their 1999 clip "What's My Age Again"...

Danish heavy metal band Volbeat sail in at #85 with "Seal The Deal", the second single from their Seal the Deal and Let's Boogie album. The first, "The Devil's Bleeding Crown", went to #28 on my list earlier this year...

Power-pop group Jimmy Eat World return after a six-year absence on my list with "Sure And Certain" at #86. Back in 2001 they made the top ten with "The Middle"...

Yet another act big back in the day, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, are back with "Go Robot", their second single from their The Getaway album. "Dark Necessities", the lead track from the set, is definitely a lock to make my year-end countdown...

Newcomer Carly Eden debuts at #94 with her club track "Gone"...

The second member of One Direction to have a solo hit is Niall Horan, who enters at #96 with "This Town". Zayn, who departed the group in 2015, has landed two singles on my chart so far...

At the start of the year, DJ/producer Dillon Francis climbed to #43 on my list with his #1 club hit "Coming Over". He's back at #98 with "Anywhere" featuring vocals by Will Heard...

Australian dance music singer Vassy strolls in at #99 with "Nothing To Lose". The video was shot in Asbury Park, NJ, with a few shots of Shep Pettibone's gay club/hotel Paradise in the mix...

The final new song on the list at #100 is Swedish producer NEIKED with the British top ten hit "Sexual" featuring Dyo...
