Today's SOTD comes from the British pop duo Go West, whose successful UK debut was criminally overlooked in comparison in the States, though they almost hit the US pop top-40 with "We Close Our Eyes". In 1987, to promote their second album in the US, Peter Cox and Richard Drummie remixed one of the debut's British hits, "Don't Look Down", adding "the Sequel" to its name. Originally reaching #13 in the UK, the revamped version finally did the trick overseas...

"Don't Look Down - The Sequel" became Go West's first American top-40 hit in October of 1987.
