Today's SOTD comes from Bon Jovi, whose third album Slippery When Wet had spun off a pair of #1 hits with "You Give Love A Bad Name" and "Livin' On A Prayer" as well as a top-10 follow-up with "Wanted Dead Or Alive". Another cut from the set, "Never Say Goodbye", wasn't released as a single in the U.S. yet got enough radio airplay to make the top-40 on Billboard's chart in 1987. As it turns, the only other song that year to do so was also from Bon Jovi, who contributed a song to the soundtrack to the Fat Boys movie Disorderlies. "Edge Of A Broken Heart", which also appeared on the European CD single for "Livin'", didn't make the final cut from their album, but was popular enough to make radio play it...

"Edge of A Broken Heart" popped into the airplay top-40 in October of 1987.
