This week eight new songs debut, and by far the highest is by French dance legend David Guetta, who is still in the top-10 with "Sexy Bitch". This time he pairs with English soul singer Estelle, of "American Boy" note, for the retro-disco thumper "One Love"...

Next is another dance powerhouse, Crystal Method, who have been on the US dance scene since 1996, with Emily Haines from the rock group Metric, with "Come Back Clean"...

Every year in Great Britain there's a race to see what song will sell enough to be the #1 Christmas song for the year. The last four years have been monopolized, for better or worse, by winners of Simon Cowell's "X Factor" singing competition. Well this year, thanks to a Facebook-led campaign, the 2009 winner (who will be coming up shortly) was outdone by a 17-year-old heavy metal rock track from American band Rage Against The Machine. It's the anti-establishment powerhouse "Killing In The Name", and I admit I was thrilled it won out (besides raising thousands of dollars for UK homeless charity Shelter).

Country star Gary Allan is back with the ballad "Today"...

And back to that UK Xmas single battle. The singer that lost out was Joe McElderry, who still debuted in the UK at #2 then hit #1 the week after, and still made my list with a cover of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb"...

Up now is R&B singer/songwriter Keri Hilson, who's latest is a #1 hit in Germany. Here's "I Like"...

Eric Hutchinson follows up his hit "Rock & Roll" with the rollicking "OK, It's Alright With Me"..

and finally, Blake Shelton previews his upcoming album with "Hillbilly Bone" with a little help from Trace Adkins...

And as a bonus, here's the clip from the awesome band the Gossip with their song that re-enters, "Heavy Cross"..

Cheers! and off to Vegas!
