Twostepcub's music chart for January 18, 2008...

Hey guys, I'm back. I'm sorry for going in biweekly clips, but I've been having computer cutover issues. Namely, I got a new Muse, and between that and a mislaid hand on the keyboard, switched over 60% of my collection in the computer that I had OCDingly labelled. Also, work has been a bear the past month. Damn. Well at least if that's my worst worry (backup, backup, backup), then I should be OK. Now back to business. This week, Sugarland stays on top for a fourth week, while newcomer Sara Bareilles (pictured above) moves within the top-10. The Foo Fighters, Ida Corr, and Alan Jackson make the biggest moves (big jump are in red) and this week Mika, Sara Evans, Clay Walker, Blake Shelton, and Dierks Bentley drop off. The "last week" position is from the chart I hadn't put up on here. And thankfully (and with lots of effort) Link-o-rama is back in effect, so you can click on the highlighted name of any artist to go to their website. Burpies!

This week sees nine new songs enter the chart, starting with Rihanna, who now has a whopping four songs on my list...wow. Here's the cool revenge track "Breaking Dishes"...

Next up, Annie Lennox comes back with my pick of the week, the uplifting "Sing", to benefit Oxfam and AIDS and hunger awareness for helping Africa..

Maroon5 are still in the top-5 with "Wake Up Call", but debut with their new single, "Won't Go Home Without You"...

Ultra Nate, who wowed me last time with her video for "Automatic", comes back with "Give It All You Got" which also doesn't disappoint..

Filo & Perri from Europe team up with American Eric Lumiere for the trance track "Anthem"...

Canadian country band Emerson Drive follow up their top-10 "Moments" with "You Still Own Me"..

And back across the pond, British group The Kooks enter with "She Moves In Her Own Way"..

And while Carrie Underwood's "So Small" descends the list, "All American Girl" comes on to join the party...

Now let's see if I can get the momentum running with more posting. Ciaozers!
