"I'm Every Woman" was a club and radio hit for singer Chaka Khan. Appearing on her first solo album away from the band Rufus, Chaka, the song was written by the husband/wife team of Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson, and produced by Arif Mardin. A #1 R&B hit in Billboard magazine, on their National Disco Action Top-40 chart the song surprisingly only went to #30.
