Robbed hit of the week 11/11/19 - Bush's "Little Things"...

"Little Things" - Bush
from the album Sixteen Stone (1994)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: ineligible to chart
Billboard Hot 100 Airplay peak: #46

This week's "robbed hit" comes from the British post-grunge rock band Bush, who had broke through in America with their debut single "Everything Zen", which reached the top-40 of the Hot 100 Airplay chart in the spring of 1995. The second offering to radio, "Little Things", was also not released commercially as a single, and therefore wasn't able to place on Billboard's official Hot 100 pop chart. However, the song got enough airplay to almost make it into the top-40 of that component tally...

While "Little Things" made the top ten on both the Mainstream Rock (#6) and Alternative Rock (#4) radio charts in Billboard magazine, the song missed the pop Hot 100 Airplay top-40 by a few notches in June of 1995. I would guess that if a single were available, it would've handily made the top-40 easily. Internationally, the song reached the top ten on the Canadian (#2) and British (#6) rock chart, but didn't even make the top 100 on the main pop list in either country.
