Songoftheday 9/2/19 - We used to be so close and now things have changed, it's not the same, no, no since I heard you calling her name...

"Foolin' Around" - Changing Faces
from the album Changing Faces (1994)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #38 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 2

Today's song of the day comes from the R&B female vocal duo Changing Faces, whose debut single "Stroke You Up" reached the top five on both the pop and R&B charts in the fall of 1994. The next release from Cassandra Lucas and Cherisse Rose would tend to the repercussions of events like those on the first, "Foolin' Around". Written and produced by R. Kelly, the downtempo ballad finds the women catching their man getting something on the side...

"Foolin' Around" became Changing Faces' second top-40 pop hit in February of 1995. The song also climbed to #9 on the R&B chart in Billboard magazine. A third and final single from their debut, "Keep It Right There", was a minor R&B hit at #49, but missed the pop Hot 100.
