"Begin The Beguine" was a single from legendary pop singer Johnny Mathis. Appearing on his album The Best Days Of My Life, the song, which was a remake of a classic Cole Porter standard, went to #37 on Billboard magazine's Adult Contemporary (or "easy listening") chart in 1979. A special disco extended version, put together by Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero, was a DJ favorite, but failed to make the disco charts.
