Disco Dessert 1/9/19 - "I Can't Leave You Alone" from George McCrae...

"I Can't Leave You Alone" was a pre-disco dance hit for R&B singer George McCrae. Appearing on his album Rock Your Baby, it was the follow-up single to the title track, which was one of the first true big disco hits. "I Can't Leave You Alone" was too early for Billboard magazine's Disco chart, but it did climb to #10 on the R&B chart, and #50 on the American pop Hot 100 chart. The "B-side", "I Get Lifted", made it even higher, to #8 on the R&B and #37 pop.
