Songoftheday 11/3/18 - I don't know what it is that you've done to me, but it's caused me to act in such a crazy way...

"Weak" - SWV
from the album It's About Time (1992)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #1 (two weeks)
Weeks in the Top-40: 22

Today's song of the day comes from the female R&B vocal trio SWV, who had landed their first top-40 pop hit in the spring of 1993 with the new jack swing jam "I'm So Into You". The third release from the album (first release "Right Here" stalled down at #92) was the ballad "Weak". Written and produced by Brian Alexander Morgan, the song would become Coko, Taj, and Lelee's biggest pop hit...

"Weak" became SWV's first and only #1 pop hit in July of 1993. The song also spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard magazine's R&B chart. Internationally, the single peaked at #6 in New Zealand, and made the top-40 in the UK at #33, while in Canada it almost reached that level at #42.
