Disco Dessert 9/12/18 - "Let Yourself Go" from the Supremes...

This one's for Jeff, thanks for inspiring me today...

"Let Yourself Go" was the final R&B chart hit for the most revered "girl-group" of all time, the Supremes. Released in 1976, the trio consisted of Mary Wilson, Scherrie Payne, and Susaye Greene, and on this nugget Payne sings lead. Remixed by the legendary Larry Levan, the original version appeared on their Mary, Scherrie, and Susaye album. In combination with albums cuts "You're My Driving Wheel" and "Love I Never Knew", it reached #5 on Billboard's Disco/Dance Singles chart, while the song itself peaked at #83 on their R&B genre list.

and as a bonus, here's the Larry Levan mix in all its nine minute glory...
