German Sweep: June 14, 2017...

Here's the top ten hits in Germany this week, according to their official singles chart, as "Despacito" from Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee remains on top for a seventh week...

6. "There's Nothin' Holding Me Back" - Shawn Mendes (7)
7. "I'm The One" - DJ Khaled featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper, & Lil' Wayne (5)
8. "Swalla" - Jason Derulo featuring Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign (6)
9. "Louis Louis" - Kay One (9)
10. "Tuesday" - Burak Yeter featuring Danelle Sandoval (10)

American alternative rock band Imagine Dragons jumps into the top ten at #5 with "Thunder", from their upcoming album Evolve. It becomes their third top ten hit in this country - they went a notch higher to #4 in 2012 with "Radioactive"...

Further down the chart, just missing the top 40 at #42 is former Eurovision winner Lena with "If I Wasn't Your Daughter". It's a quite lovely ballad, nothing what you originally thought the title would mean...


Meanwhile, on the albums chart in the country, indie-rock band Kraftklub take over the #1 spot with Keine Nacht für Niemand ("No Night For Nobody"). It's their third #1 album out of four releases (the odd one out was a live set)...


Roger Waters (originally Pink Floyd's main man) comes in at #3 with Is This The Life We Really Want?. Back in 1992 he went to #4 with Amused To Death; this is his second solo trip to the top ten here...


Hip-hop duo SXTN, from Berlin, enter at #8 with Leben am Limit ("Life At The Limit")...
