twostepcub's music chart for May 26, 2017...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 tunes from the previous week. Bruno Mars rolls into his fifth week at #1, as the Chainsmokers and Coldplay (pictured above) reach the top five together. Former big hits from the Weeknd/Daft Punk, Spoon, Lauren Alaina, and the Head and the Heart drop off my list, while songs from Rag N' Bone Man, Mary J. Blige, and Rosabel/Terri B! make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). The mortal world lost a great soul this week. Treat all you love like it's their last....

There are nine songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to that artist's official website. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

The top new entry of the week belongs to New Jersey native and pop singer/songwriter Charlie Puth, whose "Attention" grabs in at #70. It's the first single from his upcoming sophomore album...

Two hot country newcomers, Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris, come together at #76 with "Craving You", which will be on Rhett's third upcoming set...

Master remixer and dance music producer Dave Audé recruits singer JVMIE (Jamie Lee Wilson) at #82 for the club hit "Back 2 Love"...

Another club collaboration, a cover of Olive's #1 hit from 1997, "You're Not Alone", from DJ Scotty Boy and Lizzie Curious, shimmies in at #83...

A personal fave of mine from overseas, "No Roots" from German-Irish singer Alice Merton, plants itself at #85. I'm certain if Germany would've entered this into the Eurovision Song Contest, they would've easily had a chance to win instead of coming in next to last again...

Lady Gaga follows up her former top ten hit "Million Reasons" (which drops to #33) with "The Cure", which shoots in at #87...

Los Angeles-based indie-rock band Sir Sly make their debut at #91 with "High"...

A track from Shawn Mendes' "deluxe" re-release of his sophomore Illuminate album, "There's Nothin' Holding Me Back", drops in at #96...

The final newbie of the week comes from dance music singer Lisa Cole, as she slips in at #99 with "Lost Love"...
