French Sweep: April 25, 2017...


Here's the top ten hits in France this week, according to their official singles chart, as Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" does not quit, spending a fifteenth week at #1...

2. "Despacito" - Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee (2)
3. "I Feel It Coming" - The Weekend featuring Daft Punk (5)
4. "The Cure" - Lady Gaga (DEBUT)
5. "Chained To The Rhythm" - Katy Perry featuring Skip Marley (9)
6. "Million Eyes" - Loïc Nottet (4)
7. "Human" - Rag N' Bone Man (7)
8. "Roule" - Soprano (6)
9. "You Don't Know Me" - Jax Jones featuring RAYE (8)
10. "Chocolat" - Lartiste featuring Awa Imani (DEBUT)

Lady Gaga rockets on to the entire chart at #4 with her brand new single "The Cure". It becomes her 16th top ten hit in this country. She's been to #1 three times, most recently with "Perfect Illusion"...

A track that I featured last week, "Chocolat" from French hip-hop musician Lartiste, leaps into the top ten now at #10...


Further down the chart, rapper/singer Sofiane enters the top 40 at #28 with "Mon Ptit Loup" ("My Little Wolf")...


Arcadian, a trio that appeared on this country's version of The Voice last year, comes on to the top 40 at #33 with "Folie Arcadienne"...


Meanwhile, on the albums chart in this country, French pop singer -M-'s collaboration with Malian artists, Lamomali, remains on top for a second week...

The aforementioned Arcadian slide into the albums chart at #4...


French rap artist Ridsa, from Orleans, claims his first top ten album at #7 with Libre ("Free")...


Algerian folk musician Idir climbs into the top ten at #9 with Ici et Ailleurs ("Here and there"). He collaborates with a handful of French pop legends...
