French Sweep: January 24, 2017...






Here's the top ten hits in France this week, according to their official singles chart, as Ed Sheeran spends a second week at #1 with "Shape Of You"...

7. "Lost On You" - LP (8)
8. "Bazardée" - Keblack (DEBUT)
9. "Mula" - Siboy featuring Booba (DEBUT)
10. "Nervous" - Gavin James (DEBUT)

A single I featured a couple weeks back, "Bezardee'" by rapper/singer Keblack, leaps into the top ten at #8 from #24...

Another French hip-hop artist, Siboy, comes in at #9 with "Mula" (slang, like "Moolah"), featuring rapper Booba...


Irish singer/songwriter Gavin James sails in at #10 with "Nervous". It's getting exposure from a tropical house remix from Mark McCabe...


Further down the chart, American duo The Chainsmokers enter the top-40 at #30 with "Paris"...


Black M, a member of the rap/hip-hop collective Sexion D'Assaut, moves into the top-40 at #31 with "French Kiss"...


Meanwhile, on the albums chart in France, M Pokora holds on top with My Way...

British indie-pop band the xx enters at #5 with I See You. Their last record Coexist peaked at #2 in 2012...


Classical music prodigies Camille and Julie Berthollet enter the top ten at #7 with their self-titled album...
