twostepcub's music chart for December 30, 2016...


Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 tunes from the previous week. "24K Magic" from Bruno Mars remains on top for a sixth week, while Sting (pictured above) climbs into the top ten. Songs from Chris Young/Vince Gill, Green Day, and Rihanna make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Adele, Justin Timberlake, OneRepublic, Christina Aguilera, Calvin Harris, Jonas Blue, LoCash, and Kiiara drop off my list.

Don't forget, I'll be rolling out the top ten hits of 2016 on my chart later on today...

Country vocal group Little Big Town claim the top debut of the week at #72 with "Better Man", co-written by Taylor Swift...


Danish pop/rock band Lukas Graham land their third hit on my chart as "You're Not There" comes in at #86. The first, "7 Years", is a contender for single of the year on my year-end list...


DJ Pebbles, a young Australian dance music artist that will be in college this fall in New York, arrives at #88 with her club hit "To Not Love You"...


Lady Gaga follows up her "Perfect Illusion" with the song at #90, "Million Reasons"...


Back in 2004, Yoko Ono topped the Billboard Dance Club Play chart with a remix of her track "Hell In Paradise". Now at 83 years old, she's back on the dancefloor and at #91 with "Hell In Paradise 2016". It originally was released in 1985 and was a top-20 club hit then...


Indie-rock group Band Of Horses came in at #83 on my 2016 year-end list with "Casual Party"; now their next single, "In A Drawer", pulls in at #93...


Newcomer k. flay (aka Kristine Flaherty) makes her debut at #94 with "Blood In The Cut"...


While the Weeknd and Daft Punk are going strong at #3 with "Starboy", their other collaboration on the Starboy album, "I Feel It Coming", drops in at #97. The song appears on his "MANIA" short film starting at 8:42 ...


German pop/R&B artist Mark Forster slips in at #99 with "Chöre" ("Choir"). It's his third time on my chart...


The final newbie of the week at #100 is Swedish EDM DJ/producer Alesso with "Take My Breath Away"...
