twostepcub's music chart for December 2, 2016...


It's Friday, and I'm ready to run down my top 100 tunes from the previous week. Bruno Mars remains on top for a second week, while the Weeknd (pictured above) climbs into the top three. Songs from Thomas Rhett, Pet Shop Boys, and Carrie Underwood make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Katy Perry, Sam Hunt, Wrabel, and Phantogram drop off my list. One more month of the worst year ever...

Adele returns with the fourth single from her stellar 25 album, "Water Under The Bridge", which takes the top debut spot of the week at #61. Her last, "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)", is still going strong, dropping to #22...


Veteran house music DJ/producer Tony Moran recruits singer Jason Walker at #70 for his club hit "Say Yes". It's their second collaboration to make my chart this year; "So Happy" made the top-40 already...


Neo-soul singer Joe is back at #90 with "So I Can Have You Back". It's the first single from his #MyNameIsJoeThomas (in case you never knew his surname)...


French star DJs David Guetta and Cedric Gervais team up with American singer Chris Willis (a frequent muse for Guetta) at #92 for a cover of the 1993 hit "Would I Lie To You?" originally from Charles & Eddie...


Another French club fixture, KUNGS, moves in at #94 with "I Feel So Bad" featuring European soul/pop act Ephemerals. His recent top-3 hit "This Girl" falls to #45 this week...


Highly Suspect, an alternative hard rock band from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, who landed two Grammy nominations last year, score their first hit on my chart at #96 with "My Name Is Human"...


Baltimore-based vocal group JAGMAC, made of six siblings whose names provide the letters for their moniker, dance in at #99 with their breakthrough single "Soldiers"...


Finally, at #100 is Blake Shelton with the third radio single from his If I'm Honest album, "A Guy With A Girl"...
