After conquering the American charts with the back-door trick of the internet meme (the "Mannequin Challenge"), rap duo Rae Sremmurd leaps into the top 10 of the French sales chart with "Black Beatles" featuring Gucci Mane. It's the sibling's first time in the top 100, let alone the top ten...

(As the Weeknd's "Starboy" rebounds to #6, the track "I Feel It Coming" from the Starboy album makes its debut at #10. Sadly, there's no video/audio of the song as yet...)

Further down the chart, Parisian electronica artist Broken Back slips into the top 40 at #40 with "Halcyon Birds"...


Meanwhile, on the albums chart in the country, American speed-metal vets Metallica claim their third #1 album with Hardwired...To Self Destruct. They also did the trick with Load in 1996 and Death Magnetic in 2008...


Bruno Mars struts in at #2 with his third album 24K Magic. It's his highest placing in this market as yet...


The various-artist collection honoring the late French pop star Michel Delpech, J'etais Un Ange, lands at #7. Delpech passed away from lung cancer in January of this year...
