twostepcub's music chart for October 7, 2016...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 tunes from the previous week. Twenty-one pilots spend a second week at #1, while Cage The Elephant (pictured above) climbs a notch in the top ten. Songs from Ellie Goulding, Joseph, and Major Lazer make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while a former big hit from Rain Man drops out. Stay away, Matthew!

There are nine songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to that artist's official website. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

While Sia remains at #2 with her former #1 (and contender for single of the year) with "Cheap Thrills", she claims the top debut of the week at #74 with "The Greatest". While the single/radio version features rapper Kendrick Lamar, the powerful video (commemorating the tragedy in Orlando earlier this year) is her alone...

Another high-profile entry comes from Lady Gaga, who lands at #76 with "Perfect Illusion", the lead track from her upcoming album Joanne...

Australian dance/pop singer Betty Who returns at #83 with her cover of Donna Lewis' 90's nugget "I Love You Always Forever"...

Dawn Tallman enters at #88 with her club hit "Teardrops". It's also a remake, this time of the top-10 dance single from Lovestation which is a version of a song from Womack and Womack, which went to #3 in the UK in 1988...

Electropop newcomer Kiiara makes her debut at #90 with her stellar first single "Gold"...

North Carolina native Andrew Kirk, who records under the moniker of RUNAGROUND, sails in at #97 with "Chase You Down"...

Brotherly rock band Kings Of Leon are back at #98 with "Waste A Moment". It's the first single from their upcoming album WALLS...

Karine Hannah, who had a dance hit as a featured guest on Dave Aude's "Burning Up", is solo at #99 with "Victory"...

Country vet Tim McGraw brings up the rear at #100 with the third single from his Damn Country Music album, "How I'll Always Be"...
