twostepcub's music chart for August 12, 2016...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 tunes from the previous week. Sia racks up a fourth week at #1, while Drake (pictured above) moves up a couple in the top ten. (Click below to see the rest of the post)

Former One Direction member Zayn (Malik) follows up his former top-20 hit "Pillowtalk" (now at #86) with the neo-disco of "Like I Would", which is this week's highest debut at #72...

The second single from country singer Dierks Bentley's Black album is a collaboration with indie-rock chick Elle King (daughter of Rob Schneider) and "Different For Girls" leaps in at #73. The first, "Somewhere On A Beach", holds steady on its decline at #76...

Yonkers-born spinner DJ Hardwerk recruits Akon to sing on his first entry on my chart, "Tell Me We're OK" at #81...

Mike Taylor, who lent vocals to Afrojack's hit "Summerthing!" last year, now comes in on his own at #87 with the uplifting "Body High"...

After a seemingly long break Katy Perry is finally back with a new song, "Rise", at #90...

Country rocker Kip Moore sprints in at #91 with "Running For You", the second single from his Wild Ones album...

British pop star Olly Murs returns at #94 with "You Don't Know Love", his #1 UK airplay hit...

Yuna, an indie-soul singer/songwriter from Malaysia, gets a boost from Usher in her breakthrough hit single "Crush" at #95. Check out her Chapters album, one of the best R&B sets of the year...

Post-grunge rock band Chevelle drives in at #96 with "Joyride (Omen)", the lead track from their North Corridor album...

Berlin-based DJ/producer Alle Farben comes in at #97 with "Please Tell Rosie" featuring YOUNOTUS. They both backed up singer Anna Naklab on her single "Supergirl" which made my list last year...

Alternative emo-rockers Blue October drop in at #98 with "Home". They first were on my chart a decade ago with "Hate Me"...

While Drake is up in the top ten with "One Dance", another track on his Views album, "Controlla", arrives at #99 (sorry folks, no video on youTube for this one...)

Finally, at #100 is Pitbull who cribs REO Speedwagon with Enrique Iglesias for "Messin' Around"...

Have a fantastic weekend!
