Brit Sweep: April 8, 2016...

It's time to head over the Atlantic to check out some of the new choice cuts making the official singles chart in the UK this week, as Mike Posner spends a fourth week at #1 with "I Took A Pill In Ibiza"...

British "boy-band with instruments" the Vamps come in at #30 with the second single from their second album, "I Found A Girl". The single, which features reggae artist OMI of "Cheerleader" fame, is unusual in that it has the protagonist longing for a girl who is straight up lesbian, without any comic or derogatory intonations (other than he wishes he could be with her). Not a bad progression, for that type of music, eh? C+
