Dance Sweep: February 13, 2016...






I'm up to the last of today's "music sweeps", checking out the songs making their debut on the charts in Billboard magazine, and I'll wrap things up with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio. (Since I missed this last week I'll double up on it this time out)

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, last week's #1, "Magnets" from Disclosure and Lorde gives way to the cover of the Mamas and Papas classic "California Dreamin'" by Freischwimmer...

Australian singer Claire Rasa from Sydney follows up her debut single "All I Wanted" which went to #28 last October, with "Take Me Back", which moves from #47 to #39 in its second week...

Alessandro Coli, an Italian singer, jumps from #42 to #40 with "Flames"...


British remixing king Liam Keegan goes from #44 to #41 with "Creation" feautring vocalist Holly Lois...


Singer Inas X, who will open up for rapper Fetty Wap on tour, shimmies from #49 to #42 with "Love Is"...


The last of last week's newbies is Primo Cruz with "Don't Stop", which holds at #43...


The Weeknd takes this week's highest entry crown at #45 with "In The Night"...


The current #1 pop hit in America, "Love Yourself" from Justin Bieber, finds its remixed version pulling in at #46...


DJ veteran Tracy Young recruits singer Karina Iglesias for the song at #48, "Same Love", my "Dance Pick of the Week"...

Meanwhile on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, The Chainsmokers are on top for a fourth week with "Roses" featuring ROZES...

Mike Posner drops in at #30 with "I Took A Pill In Ibiza"...


Canadian Vine star turned pop hero Shawn Mendes comes in at #32 with "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Camila Cebello...
