Aussie Sweep: February 25, 2016...

It's time to head Down Under to check out the songs making their way on to the official singles chart in Australia this week, as Danish rock band Lukas Graham rocket from #20 to #1 with "7 Years"...

Almost making the top ten this week at #11 is comedian Tim Minchin, who was born in England but grew up in the western city of Perth, with his protest song "Come Home (Cardinal Pell)". The song eviscerates the Australian clergyman who is not only facing charges of hiding sexual predators amongst that country's Catholic priests, but also direct accusations of abuse himself. He's refused to return to Australia from the Vatican for health reasons, and this recording helps a charity fund to get survivors over to Italy to face him as he testifies. Powerful stuff.
