Dance Sweep: January 16, 2016...

I'm ready to wrap up today's "music sweeps" of the songs making their debut on the singles charts in Billboard magazine, and I'll close out with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio...

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike with Ne-Yo all climb to #1 with "Higher Place"...

Adam Lambert, who was proclaimed the highest-earning American Idol alumnus last year, celebrates his entry at #39 with "Another Lonely Night". Five years ago he went to #5 on the dance chart with "For Your Entertainment"...

Kwanza Jones, a singer as well as a Princeton University graduate, lands at #42 with "Shatterproof"...

Remixing act Dirty Disco are back at #44 with "Stranded" featuring Inaya Day. It's the follow-up to their top-10 hit "Was It All There Was", and my "Dance Pick of the Week"....

Newcomer Athena drops in at #46 with "Lithium"...

While master remixer Dave Aude moves to #30 with "True Original" with Erasure vocalist Andy Bell (a former "dance pick"), his collab with Karine Hannah, "I'm Burning Up", flames in at #49...

And bringing up the rear at #50 are the Chainsmokers and ROZES with their top-5 airplay hit "Roses"...

Meanwhile on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay chart, Justin Bieber's "Sorry" hangs on for a third week on top...

As twenty one pilots take their #1 rock hit "Stressed Out" to the top 10 on the pop chart, the single also crosses over to the dance airplay list at #36...

That's all for today....thanks for taking the trip!
