Brit Sweep: November 13, 2015...


The official singles chart in the UK was released today, and here's a look at the songs making their debut on the top-100 in Britain, as Adele's "Hello" and Justin Bieber's "Sorry" have a lock on the #1 and #2 positions for a third week...

The highest debut of the week at #3 is from the runner-up on the previous season of the X Factor UK, Fleur East, who's "Sax" is her first original song to reach the chart...

Coming in at #11 is Norwegian singer Aurora with her cover of Oasis' "Half The World Away", which serves as the backdrop to this year's tearjerking Christmas ads from British department store John Lewis...


British modern rock kings Coldplay return at #14 with their new toe-tapping new single "Adventure Of A Lifetime". They're hoping for their 16th top-10 hit in the UK; the group has been to #1 with "Viva La Vida" and "Paradise"...


As One Direction's Made In The A.M. album sees its release, another track from the set, "History", comes in on its own at #37...


Remixers 99 Souls enter the chart at #44 with "The Girl Is Mine", which is a mashup of Brandy and Monica's "The Boy Is Mine" (with new vocals from the former) with Destiny Child's "Girl". "The Boy Is Mine" went to #2 in the UK in 1998, while "Girl" peaked at #6 here in 2005..


The sixth top-100 single from drum-and-bass duo Sigma's Life album, "Coming Home" featuring Rita Ora, moves in at #45. Two of the previous hits, "Nobody To Love" and "Changing", both topped the singles chart in Britain...


The original version of "Half The World Away" from Oasis also makes the chart at #56.


Cee Lo Green is back at #59 with his newest release, "Music To My Soul". His classic single "Fuck You" went to #1 here in 2010...


Another selection from the Made In The A.M. album from One Direction, "End Of The Day", drops in at #83...(there's no official clip available)..

Australian singer/songwriter Sia flies in at #92 with "Bird Set Free"...


The final newbie on the chart at #96 is drum and bass act Chase & Status with "Funny" featuring Frisco. The pair from London have scored four top-10 hits, with 'Blind Faith' and 'Count On Me' both reaching #5..
