Dance Sweep: August 8, 2015...


I'm ready to wrap up today's 'music sweeps' checking out the newest hits on the Billboard charts with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio...

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Andy Grammer takes the remixes of his oh-so-cute pop hit "Honey I'm Good" to the top of the club chart (he also makes the country chart as well..)

Dutch DJ/producer Afrojack takes the top new entry at #38 with "Summerthing!" featuring vocals from Mike Taylor. His last club hit, "As Your Friend" with Chris Brown, topped this chart in 2013...

Swedish EDM artist Alesso is back at #42 with "Sweet Escape" featuring Sirena. He went to #1 on this list with "Heroes (We Could Be)" with Tove Lo last December...


Newcomer Zameer, who was born in Pakistan but resides now in Canada, hooks up with Canadian singer Mia Martina with "Crazy" at #47, my "Dance Pick of the Week"...


 Rapper Aggro Santos, another transplant this time from Brazil to London, arrives at #49 with "Red Lips" featuring Andreea Banica...


Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Major Lazer and DJ Snake remain on top for a fifth week with "Lean On"...

Scottish DJ/producer Calvin Harris is back at #24 with "How Deep Is Your Love" featuring British production trio Disciples...


Pop-punk rock band Fall Out Boy shimmy in at #37 with "Uma Thurman"...


Belgian-based DJ duo Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike collaborate with Turkish DJ Ummet Ozcan for "The Hum" at #39...


Finally, another pop hit crossing over to this list at #40 is "Fight Song" from adult-pop singer/songwriter Rachel Platten...
