Soul Sweep: June 13, 2015...

We're at the "hump" of today's "chart sweeps", sampling the songs making their way on to the charts in Billboard magazine, and this time I'm serving up the latest hits in R&B radio...

On their main R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart, The Weeknd remains at #1 for an eighth week with "Earned It"...

Alternative soul queen Janelle Monae teams up with "hip-hop-ster" Jidenna at #45 with "Yoga". Is it only me worried that what sounds like a recycled Rihanna track may become her biggest hit? Nevertheless, it still outshines the rest (well Snoop's gave it a run) to be my "Soul Pick of the Week"...

K. Michelle, who appears on Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta, enters at #47 with "Hard To Do", the second hit from her Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart? album. The first, "Love 'Em All", went to #26..

Chris Brown and Tyga follow up their 3 collab "Ayo" with "Bitches and Marijuana" with Schoolboy Q at #48...

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, "Earned It" is on top for a third week...

Neo-soul singer Raheem DeVaughn comes in at #29 with "Temperature's Rising". It follows his top-10 Adult R&B hit "Queen"...

Rapper Snoop Dogg teams up with R&B legend Stevie Wonder and Pharrell Williams at #30 for "California Roll"...

Lastly, on the Rhythmic format, whose stations add more dance/pop music to their playlists, Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" reigns for a second week...

Rapper Sage The Gemini hooks up with former teen idol Nick Jonas at #29 for "Good Thing"...

Bronx native Kat Deluna moves in at #37 with "Bum Bum" featuring Trey Songz...

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly lands at #39 with "A Little More" featuring Victoria Monet...

I'll return in 90 with the latest on country radio...
