Rock Sweep: May 30, 2015...

I'm continuing my catch up my "chart sweeps", sampling the songs making the various singles charts in Billboard magazine. This time out I've got the latest hits on rock radio...

On their main Rock Airplay chart, Muse spends a second week at #1 with "Dead Inside"...

Hard rock band Halestorm enter at #38 with "Amen". The track is already up to #15 on the Mainstream Rock chart...

..and now on to the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel, Breaking Benjamin's "Failure" is on top for a second week...

Godsmack returns at #32 with "What's Next", the third single from their 1000hp album. The title track went to #1 last year..

The fourth song from Slipknot's .5 The Grey Chapter release, "Killpop", comes in at #37. The second, "The Devil In I", peaked at #2...

Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart,  "Dead Inside" holds at #1 for a second week...

Welsh indie-rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen follow up their #17 hit "Kathleen" with "Cocoon", which enters at #36...

Indietronica act Glass Animals arrive at #38 with "Black Mambo". Their last single, "Gooey", reached #19 on this list...

Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format, Florence + The Machine stay at #1 for a third week with "What Kind Of Man"...

Australian singer/songwriter Courtney Barnett moves in at #30 with "Dead Fox", my "Rock Pick of the Week"...
