Brit Sweep: March 1, 2015...

The end of the weekend is here, and it's time to check out the songs making the chart in the UK this week, according to their official singles chart, as Ellie Goulding spends a fourth week at #1 with "Love Me Like You Do"...

The first American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, returns at #7 with "Heartbeat Song". It becomes her ninth top-10 British hit; she went to #1 in 2009 with "My Life Would Suck Without You"...

Axwell & Ingrosso, formerly 2/3rd of the Swedish House Mafia, arrive at #22 with "Something New". Axwell previously had a top-40 UK hit with "Tell Me Why", while Sebastian Ingrosso has gone there twice before with "Reload" going all the way to #3...

Dance remix team Disciples arise to #24 with "They Don't Know"...

After Madonna's shall we say talked-about appearance at the Brit Awards this past week, her single "Living For Love" pops into the top-40 at #26. It's her 68th time in the British top-40; thirteen have topped the chart, most recently in 2008 with "4 Minutes"...

The Oscar-winning song "Glory" from Selma lands on the British chart at #62 for rapper Common and singer John Legend...

The final newbie of the week at #76 comes from Rihanna, whose contribution to the animated film Home, "Towards The Sun", pops in. She's also at #5 with "FourFiveSeconds"...
