Dance Sweep: February 28, 2015...

I'm ready to wrap up this week's "chart sweeps", sampling the songs making the charts in Billboard magazine, with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio...

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Mary J. Blige takes over at the top with "Right Now". It's her sixth trip to #1...

House music hero Tony Moran jumps in at #43 with "Free People" featuring Martha Wash, my "Dance Pick of the Week". His remake of "I Like You" with Debby Holiday made the top-5 this year and stands at #14 this week...

D.O.N.S., who also just had a big remake hit, this time with "Big Fun" which topped the chart, are back at #47 with "Love Is Independent" featuring Polina Griffith...

Dasco arrives at #48 with "What I Need (Right Here, Right Now)" featuring Justina Maria...

Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk!" is back at #1 for a third non-consecutive week...

Natalie LaRose and R&B singer Jeremih are at #39 with "Somebody", interpolating the Whitney Houston classic "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"...

Ellie Goulding moves in at #40 with "Love Me Like You Do" from the 50 Shades Of Grey movie. Her collaboration with Calvin Harris, "Outside", is up at #5...

That's all for today...thanks for taking the trip, and I'll be back tomorrow with the recap of the newest albums on the chart. Cheers!
