Rock Sweep: January 17, 2015...

Round two of this week's "chart sweeps" is up, checking out the songs making their way on to the various radio charts in Billboard magazine. This time up I've got the latest on rock radio...

On the main Rock Airplay chart, the Foo Fighters are at #1 for an eleventh week with "Something From Nothing"...

Only one song makes its debut this week, as Australian singer/songwriter Vance Joy follows up his former #1 hit "Riptide", which still is riding high at #4, with "Mess Is Mine" at #49. The single also climbs to #31 on the Alternative chart...

And now on to the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel, "Something From Nothing" is still on top for an eleventh week...

Christian hard rock back We As Human drop in at #40 with "Bring To Life", my "Rock Pick of the Week".  Their last single, "Take The Bullets Away", climbed to #12 last year...

Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart, the Foo Fighters reign for a seventh week, while there are no new songs on the chart...

Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster" rock) format, George Ezra's "Budapest" is at #1 for a seventh week, and no newbies appear on the chart...

I'll return in an hour and a half with the latest on R&B radio...
