Rock Sweep: January 10, 2015...

Round two of today's "chart sweeps" is up, checking out the songs making their way on to the charts in Billboard magazine, and this time out I've got the latest hits on rock radio...

On their main Rock Airplay chart, The Foo Fighters remain on top for a tenth week with "Something From Nothing"...

The sole debut at #50 is British hard rock band Young Guns with "I Want Out", my "Rock Pick Of The Week". The single also climbs to #18 on the Mainstream Rock list as well. In 2012 they made it to #14 on this chart with "Bones"...

And now for the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel, "Something From Nothing" reigns for a tenth week, while there are no songs making their debut..

Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart, the Foos are also at #1 for a sixth week...

South African post-grunge band Seether crosses over to this format at #39 with "Same Damn Life". That record peaked at #4 on the Mainstream Rock list last week. This song is the follow-up to "Words As Weapons", which made it to #28 on the Alternative chart...

Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format,  George Ezra is on top for a sixth week with "Budapest", and there's no newbies on the list...

I'll return in an hour and a half with the newest on R&B radio...
