Soul Sweep: December 27, 2014...

We're at the "hump" of today's "chart sweeps", sampling the songs reaching the singles charts in Billboard magazine, and this time I'm serving up the latest songs on R&B radio...

On the main R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart, ILOVEMAKONNEN returns to #1 for a second non-consecutive week with "Tuesday"...

The man with the #1 record in America, J. Cole, also scores the highest debut at #40 with the radio single from the set, "Apparently"...

While Nicki Minaj's radio hit "Only" climbs into the top-10 this week at #10, another track from her just-released The Pinkprint record, "Feeling Myself" featuring Beyonce, enters at #42...

Newcomer Wash debuts at #44 with "Can't Trust Thots" featuring rapper French Montana...

Jazmine Sullivan moves in at #49 with "Forever Don't Last". The song holds #17 on the Adult R&B chart...

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, Avery Sunshine scores her first #1 hit with "Call My Name"...

The sole entry at #30 is Beyonce with "Ring Off"...

Lastly, on the Rhythmic format, whose stations add more dance/pop music to their playlists,  ILOVEMAKONNEN and Drake just to #1 with "Tuesday"...

Pitbull and Ne-Yo team up at #34 for the "Time Of Our Lives"...

Bronx-born bachata singer/songwriter Prince Royce arrives at #39 with "Stuck On A Feeling" featuring Snoop Dogg. It's my "Soul Pick of the Week"...

I'll be back in 90 with the latest on country radio...
