Rock Sweep: November 22, 2014...






Round two of this week's "chart sweeps" has the latest songs on the rock radio charts in Billboard magazine.

On their main Rock Airplay chart, the Foo Fighters spend a third week at #1 with "Something From Nothing"...

While U2 climb to #12 with the first single from their Songs Of Innocence album, "The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)", another track from the set, "Every Breaking Wave", comes in at #44...

The third radio single from Linkin Park's The Hunting Party album, "Rebellion" featuring Daron Malakian (of System Of A Down), enters at #47....


Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness trek in at #49 with "Cecilia and the Satellite". The track holds at #29 on the Alternative Rock chart...


and now on to the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel the Foo Fighters win for a third week with "Something For Nothing"...

 Hard rock act Papa Roach is back at #31 with "Face Everything And Rise" the title track to their upcoming eighth album. They topped the chart with "Lifeline" in 2009...


Starset follow up their top-5 hit "My Demons" with "Carnivore", which is in at #39...


Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart, Milky Chance holds on to #1 for a ninth week with "Stolen Dance", while the aforementioned U2 track enters at #32...

New York indie-pop band MisterWives chime in at #40 with "Reflections"...


Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") radio, U2's "The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)" jumps to the top spot...

Imagine Dragons jump in at #14 with "I Bet My Life"...


Indie-rock band the Decemberists move in at #19 with "Make You Better".


Brooklyn-based alt-country trio the Lone Bellow are back at #26 with "Then Came The Morning", my "Rock Pick of the Week". They went to #17 with "Bleeding Out" from their first album...


The final entry at #28 is Shakey Graves with "Dearly Departed"....
