The end of the weekend is here, so it's time to check out the songs making their debut on the just-released top 100 singles chart in the UK this week....

With an overwhelming sales margin the top song in Britain this week is this year's annual BBC Children In Need charity single, which has conductor Gareth Malone and an "All Star Choir" of singing novices covering the Avicii song "Wake Me Up". The group on this record includes British celebrities from sports, TV, and the stage, along with children helped by the program....

Australian twin sister duo the Veronicas arrive at #8 with "You Ruin Me". The song has already been to #1 in their home country. This is their second top-ten hit in the UK; they also went to #8 in 2007 with "Untouched"...


Sam Smith scores his fourth top-10 his from his debut album In The Lonely Hour as "Like I Can" comes in at #9. The third, "I'm Not The Only One", sits at #10 as well, and this new one is my "Brit Pick of the Week"...


American rapper Kendrick Lamar nabs his first top-40 hit in the UK as a lead artist as "i" arrives at #20. He's been featured on three top-40 hits, with Alicia Keys' "It's On Again" going to #31...


As One Direction's Four album gets ready for release, five more of its tracks land on the chart. First at #45 is "18", "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" lands at #47, "Night Changes" is at #54, "Girl Almighty" rests at #65, and "Fool's Gold" is at #74. None of them have official clips as yet save "Night Changes", so here it is. The current radio single "Steal My Girl" jumps back up to #3...


Singer and former X Factor UK finalist Ella Henderson moves in at #46 with "Yours". It's the third single from her debut album Chapter One. The other two have made the top-ten, with "Ghost" reaching #1 for two weeks...


Another music competition vet, Becky Hill from The Voice UK, proves also that you don't have to win to succeed as her single "Losing" climbs in at #56. She appeared on the #1 hit "Gecko (Overdrive)" earlier this year...


Paloma Faith's third single from her excellent Perfect Contradiction set, "Ready For The Good Life", breaks in at #68. Her last, "Only Love Can Hurt Like This", peaked at #6...


British indie-folk singer/songwriter George Ezra enters at #77 with "Listen To The Man".  He's had back to back top-10 hits with "Budapest" and "Blame It On Me"...
