Album Sweep: November 29, 2014 - Part Two...


The second half of this week's 'album sweep' is up, sampling the records making the official Top 200 Albums sales chart in Billboard magazine this week. Twenty-year-old rapper Bobby Shmurda sends his first EP, Shmurda She Wrote (awesome name) to #79 on the chart. It contains the top-10 single "Hot N*gga", seen below...

On the other side (aka the better side) of the R&B spectrum, neo-soul singer Anthony Hamilton enters at #80 with his seasonal release Home For The Holidays. His last album, Back To Love, came in at #12 in 2011 (one of three he's sent to that rank)...


Alt-hip hop "supergroup" Hail Mary Mallon, featuring Aesop Rock, puts their second album Bestiary on to the top 200 for the first time at #96...


The Starbucks exclusive Christmas compilation Merry & Bright enters at #97. It features holiday music produced by David Foster from the likes of Celine Dion, Michael Buble, and more..


Norwegian electronia duo Royksopp's last full studio album The Inevitable End ends up at #103. Earlier this year their EP with Robyn, Do It Again, came in at #14...


Arizona-based death metal outfit Job For A Cowboy rides in at #115 with their fourth album Sun Eater. Their second set Ruination went to #42 in 2009...


I need something redeeming after that, so thankfully at #117 is gospel singer VaShawn Mitchell with his live Unstoppable album. Two years ago his Created 4 This peaked at #46...


Angie Miller, who came in third on the 12th season of American Idol (the "Candice Glover" year), makes her debut at #131 with her first EP Weathered...

Contemporary Christian pop trio Phillips Craig and Dean move in at #198 with Above It All. In 2009 their Fearless release ascended to #46...


The final debut of the week comes from Dutch conductor and violinist Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra with Love In Venice. He is one of the top-selling and popular classical musicians in the world today...
