Album Sweep: November 15, 2014 - Part Three..

Experimental rock titans the Flaming Lips have been going at it since 1986, even scoring a top-10 album in 2009 with Embryonic, and now they're giving back. Their latest, With A Little Help From My Fwends, is a collaborative effort with alt-rock and pop musicians like My Morning Jacket, Grace Potter, and even Miley Cyrus to cover the entire Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Beatles album. It benefits a charity that provides vet care for needy pet owners, and its in at #58...

Country a cappella group Home Free, who won the fourth season of The Sing-Off (which also spawned Pentatonix), move in at #65 with Full Of Cheer. Their first post-show set, Crazy Life, went to #8 at the beginning of this year...


Texan "Red Dirt" country musician Stoney LaRue lands at #72 with Aviator. His last, Velvet, peaked at #53 in 2011...


Canadian thrash-metal vet Devin Townsend is back at #73 with Z Squared. It's his first to make the top half of the chart...


 Obituary, a death metal act from Tampa, rocks in at #75 with Inked In Blood. It's their first on the big chart...


Country-rap duo the Lacs (for Loud-Ass Crackers) enter at #86 with their seventh release Nothing In Particular. Their last one, Keep It Redneck, went all the way to #23 last year...


Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Farruko dances in at #90 with Farruko Presents Los Menores. It's his first charting album on the Top 200...


Country musical comedian Rodney Carrington returns at #91 with Laughter's Good. It's his sixth to climb into the Top 200; in 2007 he made it to #68 with King Of The Mountains. (there's no clip for this, apparently he's lost his damn mind)...

Another rock act gets on the silver anniversary gig as the Who come in at #93 with The Who Hits 50! . The single disc package has 21 of their hits and forgotten nuggets, while the deluxe sports 42. Both include a brand new song, "Be Lucky"...


California punk rockers Lagwagon enter at #95 with Hang, their eighth album and first in nine years. It becomes their highest-charting set...


Latin singer Regulo Caro drives in at #99 with Senzu-Rah. It's his first in the top half of the chart...
